Description

The Latitude Sport 3 (third-generation Latitude on-road SUV tire) is Michelin’s Street/Sport Truck Summer tire developed as Original Equipment for high performance SUVs and crossovers such as the Porsche Macan S and Macan Turbo. In addition to utilizing eco-focused manufacturing methods and enhancing vehicle fuel economy through low rolling resistance, as designated by Michelin’s Green X* branding, Latitude Sport 3 tires are designed to deliver world-class dry and wet road traction, handling and cornering. However, like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. Latitude Sport 3 tires feature a new tread compound molded into an asymmetric design that offers an increased void ratio to improve wet grip compared to its predecessor. Variable thickness sipes reduce tread block deformation, which improves rolling resistance to enhance vehicle fuel economy. The tire’s internal structure includes two high-tensile, steel cord belts that are further reinforced by size-optimized, precisely placed individual aramid/nylon hybrid filaments that resist tire distortion to provide high-speed durability and enhanced ride quality. Limited sizes of the Michelin Latitude Sport 3 are available with Michelin Acoustic Technology, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.
